Alex Marihart – Model United Nations: Alex is nominated for his dedication and leadership on the team for six years. Not only did he do a great job representing PC at this year’s Security Council at the State Competition on his own, he also has helped recruit and teach younger team members the process and preparation for the competition. He has led sessions both in the Osseo and Minneapolis school districts and been integral to the creation of the Park Center Model UN team.

Jason Robins – Adapted CI Floor Hockey: Jason helped lead the adapted floor hockey team to a 3rd place finish at the State Tournament. On Friday night of the tournament, Jason had 45 saves in net to help the team upset #2 Owatonna 7-2. On Saturday he had 51 saves to upset undefeated South Washington 9-2 to bring home the 3rd place hardware. Jason was named to the All-Tournament team!

Jonathan Meshesha – Robotics: Our team noted that Jonathan showed leadership and PRIDE when moving our programming the robot. His team members cite that he kept calm and used logic when writing code and repairing our robotics code. They note that when the coding team ran into trouble he persevered and helped them work through the problem. When the robot code wasn’t working he helped them logically work through it and solve it. The coding team has noted that he was rock solid as a leader, helped to refocus them when they were unsure of how to proceed, and showed them how to persevere when the road before them looked blocked. They note that when all of them were stuck, he helped them find the perseverance to look at the problem in a new way and find a way forward.

Lauren Bartunek – Robotics: Lauren expressed PRIDE by working hard to learn new skills during building season and being a solid competitor at competition. She was quick to learn to use a variety of tools and helped lead others when they were learning. She was able to refocus when asked to help utilize her machine skills when needed and return to earlier jobs. At competition she took on one of the more stressful roles of the competition, Pilot, where she had to think quickly on her feet to balance the needs of our team and others in our alliance. She did all this while maintaining humor and a positive outlook.
