You get the chance to vote for our December Activities Student of the month below! Congratulations to all of our nominations:
Maddy Clausen (Gymnastics): Maddy carried the gymnastics team to its best start in 30 years – leading by score, attitude, and example.
Daniel Moreno(Robotics): As a second year robotics team member, Daniel has taken a strong leadership role as a peer elected build captain while maintaining an excellent academic record. Daniel is a consistent leader who has earned the respect of his peers. During robotics launch, he worked with his team and as a mentor to retrieve our materials from the University of Minnesota and returned it to start problem solving for our robot. He led the discussion around what our robot would do and assigned teams to work on individual goals. His leadership is a big part of having a student driven problem solving team working through the day to help us get started on our robot building journey. Daniel is consistent, reliable, and takes action to assure the team has what it needs to be successful.
Alex Marihart (Mock Trial): As captain Alex continues to organize, model, train and bring strong leadership to the team.
Britney Suriyathai (SAC): Britney designed, organized, implemented, and completed successful and popular Pictures with Santa along with the members of SAC.
Elizabeth Mattson (Nordic Ski): Elizabeth is a very determined, goal-oriented athlete who is in a position to do great things! In December she participated in the first nordic skiing series of Junior Olympic National Qualifying Meets in Houghton, MI. She is the first female skier from Park Center to do so in at least 15 years. As a skier not on a club team, it’s very impressive she scored 60 JO qualifying points and made it through to the sprint quarterfinals on the first day.
