Pirates News · Meet Park Center’s New Head Girls Tennis Coach – Sunni Hill

Sunni Hill takes a swing as new Park Center Senior High girls’ tennis coach

Sunni Hill is the new Park Center Senior High girls’ tennis head coach this season. Bringing three years of experience as a head coach of a girls’ tennis team in North Carolina, Sunni knows a thing or two about winning. During her tenure as head coach, Sunni’s team boasted three undefeated seasons, and Sunni was named Coach of the Year in 2011 and 2013. She also served as the girls’ tennis assistant coach last year at Park Center Senior High.

Sunni Hill earned her undergraduate degree from Northern Michigan University in secondary education/English and her master’s degree from the University of North Carolina – Charlotte in K-12 reading education. She played tennis, volleyball and softball in high school and won the western Michigan/eastern Wisconsin tennis tournament her senior year of high school.

Sunni not only inspires students on the tennis courts, but she also has the chance to spark their love for literature as an English teacher at Park Center Senior High.

“Park Center has a phenomenal tennis program. These athletes play on the courts until well after practice is finished,” said Sunni Hill. “I am extremely proud to call myself a Pirate and to be a part of the athletic programs here.”
