Jordan Sallis – Head Coach

Matt Birr – OC/WR Coach

Coach Birr has been with the Park Center Pirates since 2021 as our Offensive Coordinator. He previously coached at Columbia Heights High School from 2014 to 2020 as their Wide Receivers and Special Teams coach.

Coach Birr is a Special Education teacher at Columbia Heights and received his degree in teaching from MSU – Moorhead. He has a Master’s in Special Education from the University of St. Thomas. Throughout his college career he was a wide receiver at MSU – Moorhead.

Todd Western – LB/Special Teams Coach

Coach Western is celebrating my 10th year as the Varsity Special Teams Coach at Park Center High School in 2024. For the past 15 years, he has also coached the Brooklyn Park Athletic Association’s 7th & 8th grade teams, which serve as a direct feeder to the Park Center football program. This role has given him a unique opportunity to support and develop future Park Center athletes, building a strong foundation for their high school football experience.

Beyond Park Center, he is proud to give back to the community by volunteering with the 100 Black Men of America, a national youth mentoring organization. Since 2009, he has also served as the Defensive Coordinator for the prestigious College All American Bowl, which showcase top Division II &III football talent from across the country.

Coach Western loves Park Center Football program and am grateful every day to use football as a platform for positively impacting young people’s lives.

Demetrius Sims – DC/DL Coach

Daryl Savage – DC/DB Coach

Coach Savage joined the Park Center Pirates coaching staff in 2019, serving as the defensive backs coach. In 2024 he was elevated to co-defensive coordinator. Coach Savage spent two years (2017-2018) on Brooklyn Center’s coaching staff as their defensive backs and wide receivers coach. From 2007 to 2011, Coach Savage served as an assistant Football Coach at Upper Iowa University where he coached outside linebackers (2007) and defensive backs (2008-2011).

Prior to coaching, Coach Savage played football at Upper Iowa from 2002 to 2006. As a player, Coach Savage was a wide receiver and defensive back at Upper Iowa. In 2007, Coach Savage served as a student coach. Coach Savage earned his degree in Graphic Design and a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) from Upper Iowa.
